Weekly Writing Prompt — October 5, 2016 Edition

Writers:

There are some days where I feel like I’m typing these words into an abyss and no one reads the words or digests them. Those days do happen, I’m sure. Then there are other times, when a nice note back is filled with its own sort of inspiration. To those that take the time to respond to these missives with blog links or even a small thank-you, you are why SnoValley Writes! continues on.
Today your prompt is to send me your success. I want to be able to tell everyone about book launches, contracts, readings, etc. And then have the group show up en mass to such occasions/postings/events. But I need to know who is doing what and how it is going.
So send me your squee and let me squawk for you.
Now your moment of Writing Zen:
“The trouble is that we have a bad habit, encouraged by pedants and sophisticates, of considering happiness as something rather stupid. Only pain is intellectual, only evil interesting. This is the treason of the artist; a refusal to admit the banality of evil and the terrible boredom of pain.”
― Ursula K. Le GuinThe Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas

“But words are things, and a small drop of ink,
Falling, like dew upon a thought, produces
That which makes thousands, perhaps millions, think.” ~ Lord Byron
